Low level laser therapy (LLLT)

Low level laser therapyLight is a powerful source of pure energy and has been used for healing since the beginning of time. LLLT uses concentrated light at various wavelengths to promote wound healing, bone and tissue repair. It also has an effect similar to an anti-inflammatory drug and therefore effectively controls pain.

LLLT presents the body with a stream of light which is absorbed by the cells and converted into a form of energy that the body can use. LLLT operates at wavelengths which stimulate the cells in the body to produce chemicals such as ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which provide the cells with energy and give them their capacity to repair and regenerate. In this way, the depleted cells are energetically nourished and any damaged cell membranes are repaired.

In 2009, LLLT was granted approval by the FDA for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hands.

Why INS and LLLT work so well together
